“BSW were very proactive in seeking out measures to provide opportunities of employment to the local community. They contacted us and initiated an apprenticeship scheme whereby Affinity Sutton residents were given the opportunity to interview for the position of apprentice gas fitter. From a shortlist of about ten candidates, two were eventually employed and provided with a fantastic career path ahead of them. BSW clearly take community interests seriously, and this activity was greatly appreciated within the organisation.  BSW have also made it clear that they are happy to offer future apprentice opportunities to Affinity Sutton residents.  They have also been actively involved in Job Match Clubs for residents, whereby they have spoken to resident job seekers regarding interview skills.  The Affinity Sutton Ready 2 Work team are immensely grateful for BSW’s involvement and the positive impact that they have had for our residents.”
