Five-year maintenance and servicing contract
We have won a five-year contract to maintain and service heating systems at 2,700 properties owned by Wokingham Borough Council in Berkshire.
The properties, spread across the wider Wokingham area as far as Reading and Crowthorne, are a mix of houses, sheltered complexes for the elderly and low level blocks of flats.
Under the terms of the agreement, our engineers will provide general servicing and maintenance daily and carry out annual boiler checks and gas safety inspections, as well as offering 24-hour/seven day a week callout support for emergency breakdowns.
“Regular maintenance and servicing keeps heating systems in prime condition, ensuring the comfort and safety of our tenants and keeping their energy bills as low as possible. It also minimises the inconvenience and costs incurred in dealing with faults,” said Andy Farrar, asset and maintenance manager at Wokingham Borough Council.
“BSW was one of a number of companies that tendered for the contract and its quote was highly competitive, setting out a quality service alongside value for money. In addition, feedback was overwhelmingly positive when we checked the firm’s references. We chose to partner with BSW and are confident we made the right decision and they will be able to meet and exceed the standards that we have set in consultation with our involved tenant working groups.”
Wokingham Borough Council is also working on plans with BSW, due to be finalised later in the year, to upgrade heating systems with super energy-efficient A-rated condensing boilers and renewable technologies, such as heat pumps.
