Case Study: Lewes District Council

BSW has over the years developed a very good working relationship with Lewes District Council in East Sussex. We are currently contracted to install, service and maintain central heating systems as well as install new kitchens and bathrooms under the governmental scheme called Decent Homes Standard.

Our relationship has now developed further with the introduction of their latest project to install air source heat pumps to 37 dwellings in off-gas areas, where BSW have also been contracted to carry out the works. This alternative source of heating will not only help tenants reduce their energy bills, but is a much cleaner and more sustainable option than the traditional gas or oil fueled heating systems. This is the first project of its kind to be undertaken by the council, and following the initial scope of works it is looking likely to be rolled out across a much wider area for other tenants to benefit from these systems.

BSW will be supplying and fitting Mitsubishi Ecodan air source heat pumps as determined by the contract. If you are curious to find our more information about how air source heat pumps work and what they could provide for your home, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our team on 01444 831 138, or watch this video: Mitsubishi Electric Ecodan – How air source heat pumps work for further insight to how they work;
