Patrons of the Royal Society for Protection of Birds

BSW is based in rural settings at Rocklodge vineyard just outside of Haywards Heath where we host a variety of wildlife unique to the Sussex country landscape. Along with badgers, foxes, deer, hedgehogs, stoats and weasels all spotted on our grounds, we are also teeming with birdlife. With a couple of keen nature and bird enthusiasts working at the company, we recently contacted the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) and invited them to come and look around our premises. Birdlife spotted at BSW has ranged from the tiny Firecrest through to Twites, Swallows, Bullfinches and the fearful Sparrowhawk. We have also proved hospitable landlords to the unique and protected Barn Owl, and in-fact have resident Peacocks patrolling the grounds.

The fascination and love for these creatures is shared by our employees as well as local visitors. You can see some of our winged friends in the photos below, captured by Health & Safety Manager, and bird lover, Steve:

Further to their visit, BSW are now delighted to announce that we have become Patrons of the RSBP due to the birdlife we support. It is a commendable accolade few companies would be able to qualify for, and we are very pleased to be part of this good cause. For more information about the RSPB or membership please refer to their website http://www.rspb.org.uk/
